Rockford suffers sixth straight loss on the road

The Rockford Rockets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a 55-40 bruising from Watertown-Mayer. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Rockford in their matchups with Watertown-Mayer: they've now lost nine in a row.
Rockford lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Sienna Thomas, who scored nine points. Rayna Johnson was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Rockford dropped their record down to 6-12 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Watertown-Mayer, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 16-2.
Rockford will look to defend their home court on Friday against Annandale at 7:30 p.m. As for Watertown-Mayer, they will head out on the road to challenge New London-Spicer at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
