Recap: West Florence Knights vs. North Myrtle Beach Chiefs
The West Florence Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by North Myrtle Beach 49-21. While losing is never fun, West Florence can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 183rd, while North Myrtle Beach is ranked 50th).
North Myrtle Beach got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Nevaeh Washington out in front who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 13 rebounds. Madison Vereen was another key contributor, scoring four points along with ten rebounds and eight assists.
West Florence has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season. As for North Myrtle Beach, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.
West Florence will be playing in front of their home fans against Wilson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wilson is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games. As for North Myrtle Beach, they will head out on the road to take on Hartsville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hartsville is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
