Basketball Game Preview: Fergus Golden Eagles vs. Hardin Bulldogs

Fergus is 1-9 against Hardin since January of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Fergus Golden Eagles will challenge the Hardin Bulldogs at 9:00 a.m. Fergus will be strutting in after a victory while Hardin will be coming in after a loss.

Fergus picked up another tournament win on Friday. Everything went their way against Laurel as Fergus made off with a 56-34 win. The Golden Eagles have beaten the Locomotives the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Locomotives has come to flipping the script.

Meanwhile, Hardin faced Billings Central Catholic in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. Hardin took a 45-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of Billings Central Catholic. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Rams recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Hardin's defeat dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Fergus, their victory bumped their record up to 10-11.

Things could have been worse for Fergus, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 43-28 loss to Hardin in their previous matchup back in January. Can Fergus avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
