If Hutchison was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of St. Benedict at Auburndale two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Sting fell just short of the Pope John Paul II Knights by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Sting's loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Hutchison actually scored more points across those five sets (106-104), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-22, 15-25, 24-26, 15-12.

Hutchison's defeat dropped their record down to 17-10. As for Pope John Paul II, their victory bumped their record up to 20-10.

Hutchison does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pope John Paul II, they will venture away from home to take on Christ Presbyterian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions will roll in looking for their 18th straight win, something the Knights surely won't give up without a fight.
