Soccer Recap: Homestead Find Success

Homestead won the last time they faced Southwest and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Homestead Broncos beat the Southwest Eagles by a goal, winning 2-1. Given the Broncos' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 143rd, while the Eagles are ranked 421st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Christopher Gonzalez and Schleiden Francois scored both of Homestead's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 12 goals.

Homestead picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 6-1-3. As for Southwest, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10.

Homestead didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 9-2 victory against Edison on the 10th. As for Southwest, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 7-0 win against Sunset on the 10th.
