Recap: St. Edward Beavers vs. Riverside Chargers
This season hasn't been kind to the St. Edward Beavers, who are still winless after their 16th game. They were dealt a 60-16 defeat at the hands of Riverside on Tuesday. St. Edward has not had much luck with the Chargers recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
St. Edward got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of
Skyelar Sindelar and
Leilani Vargas, who each put up six points. Sindelar held things down on the boards with ten rebounds.
St. Edward's defeat was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Riverside, their win bumped their record up to 5-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Edward will square off against the Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Central Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Tuesday. As for Riverside, they will head out on the road to square off against the Eagles on Friday.
