Dixon had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Union Pines Vikings on Thursday. Dixon are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 19 straight.

Aileen Lowman and Emma Davis scored both of Dixon's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 26 goals.

Dixon pushed their record up to 19-2-1 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up four goals over those 11 contests. As for Union Pines, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 20-4-1.

Looking ahead, Dixon will challenge Western Alamance at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Western Alamance will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something Dixon surely won't give up without a fight. Union Pines does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
