Softball Recap: Trimble Tech Wins Going Away Against Polytechnic

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Paschal, Trimble Tech was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the Polytechnic Parrots 19-9. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won six games by nine runs or more so far this season.

Ilia Vasquez was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most runs she has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Brittany Hernandez, who went 2-for-4 with two triples, two runs, and two RBI.

Trimble Tech's victory bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Polytechnic, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Trimble Tech is set to challenge their familiar foe South Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Polytechnic will take on rival Arlington Heights at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
