Recap: Hamilton Braves vs. Trinity Wolves

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Hamilton Braves had no problem doing just that on Friday. They breezed by Trinity at home to the tune of 40-12. Considering Hamilton has won eight contests by more than 23 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Hamilton had a senior duo take command as Diego Sanchez threw for 403 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 19.2 yards per attempt and Omar Sanchez picked up 276 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Sanchez's longest reception was for an incredible 89 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryant Odom, who rushed for 95 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries.

The victory (which was Hamilton's seventh in a row) raised their record to 9-2. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-9 Mt. Shasta and 2-8 Willows (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 36.9% over those games). As for Trinity, their loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 4-7.

Hamilton will take on Winters at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Trinity does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
