Volleyball Recap: South Decatur Extends Home Winning Streak to Ten

It was a proper cat-fight when South Decatur faced off against Knightstown on Monday. The Cougars sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Panthers. That's more bragging rights for the Cougars, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The win didn't come easy: Knightstown scored at least 13 points in every set. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-19, 25-23, 21-25, 15-13.

Despite the loss, Knightstown had strong showings from Ary Guzman, who had 23 digs and three aces, and Gianna Nutter, who had 11 digs and one assist.

South Decatur pushed their record up to 2-2 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

The future could be bright for both South Decatur and Knightstown: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently.
