It was a good run, but Elmore County unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Beauregard Hornets by a score of 5-4. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 8-7 to the Hornets when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Elmore County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lalah Culpepper, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Addison Hicks was another, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Elmore County's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 8-6. As for Beauregard, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That somehow still isn't as good as their 16-4 record this season.

Elmore County will challenge Olentangy Berlin at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Beauregard, they will square off against Daphne at 3:00 p.m. on March 29th.
