Ozark is a perfect 9-0 against Parkview since March of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Tigers are taking a road trip to face off against the Vikings at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Ozark has eight straight wins, Parkview has ten straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Monday, Ozark needed a bit of extra time to put away Willard. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Willard, sneaking past 4-3.
Hudson Roberts made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over six innings pitched. Roberts was also big at the plate, firing off two home runs and three runs while going 3-for-3. Those two home runs gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Gannon Miller was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Parkview fell victim to Camdenton and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Lakers, falling 17-0. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Vikings were not able to get on the board.
Ozark's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Parkview, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.
Parkview's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Ozark has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .449. It's a different story for Parkview, though, as they've only averaged .323. Will they be able to contain Ozark's hitters?
Everything went Ozark's way against Parkview in their previous meeting back in March of 2022, as Ozark made off with a 16-6 victory. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Vikings turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
