Soccer Game Preview: MacArthur vs. Pearce

MacArthur is 0-8 against Pearce since March of 2021 but things could change on Friday. The MacArthur Cardinals will venture away from home to square off against the Pearce Mustangs at 7:15 p.m.

MacArthur is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They fell 2-0 to Dallas Jesuit. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 527th in Texas, while the Rangers are ranked 14th in Texas).

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last match, Pearce made sure to put some goals up on the board against Richardson on Tuesday. They blew past the Eagles 4-1. The Mustangs have beaten the Eagles the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Eagles has come to flipping the script.

MacArthur's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Pearce, they picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 5-9.
