Volleyball Recap: Delta Charter Beats Vanguard College Prep for Their Fifth Straight Victory

Delta Charter entered their tilt with Vanguard College Prep on Tuesday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Lions. This was a revenge game for the Dragons: when they faced off against the Lions back in August, they had to take a 3-0 loss.

The final score came out to 25-21, 12-25, 25-15, 25-15.

Delta Charter found their leader in sophomore Marisa Ballesteros, who had eight digs and eight aces. Another player making a difference was Hailee Valencerina, who had five assists and three aces.

Despite the defeat, Vanguard College Prep saw an underclassman step up: freshman Adalyn Por had five aces and four assists. With that strong performance, Por is now averaging an impressive 2.1 aces per game.

Delta Charter's record now sits at 6-4. As for Vanguard College Prep, the loss snapped their winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 5-8 record.
