The Bradshaw Mountain Bears will take on the Paradise Honors Panthers at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Bradshaw Mountain took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Coconino a 10-0 shutout. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Bears considering their one-run performance the contest before.

Jeremy Reynolds looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Dylan Lockwood was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Williams, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Bradshaw Mountain was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .462. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, Paradise Honors waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Bulldogs 10-3.
Kade Ashton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on nine hits.
At the plate, Noah Rodriguez was a standout: he went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Andon Baker, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Bradshaw Mountain has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Paradise Honors, their victory bumped their record up to 20-3.
Saturday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Bradshaw Mountain hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .324. However, it's not like Paradise Honors struggles in that department as they've averaged .362. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Bradshaw Mountain skirted past Paradise Honors 16-15 in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Will the Bears repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
