Football Game Preview: West Greene Pioneers vs. Bethlehem Center Bulldogs

The West Greene Pioneers will challenge the Bethlehem Center Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West Greene is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

On Friday, West Greene lost to Carmichaels at home by a 28-14 margin.

Despite the defeat, West Greene saw an underclassman step up: freshman Joel Rizor rushed for 226 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry. Those 226 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Rizor.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 48 points the game before, Bethlehem Center was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They had to suffer through a 38-3 loss at the hands of California. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost six in a row.

Even if they lost, Bethlehem Center's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Homer Headlee, Teagan Veatch, and Wes Bebout, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Bethlehem Center's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for West Greene, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.

West Greene was able to grind out a solid win over Bethlehem Center when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 29-22. Will the Pioneers repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
