Basketball Recap: Southwest Covenant Makes It 13 in a Row at Home

There's no place like home for Southwest Covenant, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They managed a 63-59 victory over the Calumet Chieftains on Tuesday. This was payback for the Patriots, who suffered a 73-52 loss the last time these two teams met.

Southwest Covenant pushed their record up to 13-1 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.8 points per game. As for Calumet, their defeat ended a 14-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 14-2.

Southwest Covenant will square off against Christian Heritage at 8:00 p.m. on Friday up 90 places (46 vs. 136). Meanwhile, Calumet (ranked 50th) will meet Garber (ranked 178th) at 9:00 p.m. on Thursday.
