Yucca Valley's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They put the hurt on the Coachella Valley Mighty Arabs with a sharp 17-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won seven games by eight runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Tayla Monroy, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in February. Hannah Cusack was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4.

Yucca Valley now has a winning record of 8-7-1. As for Coachella Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.

Yucca Valley will have a chance to go back-to-back against Coachella Valley: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
