Basketball Recap: Leesville Takes a Loss

Leesville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 62-22 loss at the hands of the Hicks Pirates. The game marked the Wampus Cats' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Leesville's defeat dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Hicks, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-11 record this season.

Leesville will host Anacoco at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Indians have been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Hicks, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Haughton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pirates will be up against the Buccaneers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 51.97 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
