Basketball Recap: Pine Bush Comes Up Short

Pine Bush lost against Monroe-Woodbury last Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Pine Bush Bushmen took a 60-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Monroe-Woodbury Crusaders.

Monroe-Woodbury's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jamie Reich, who posted 25 points. Monroe-Woodbury is 6-1 when Reich posts 15 or more points, but 4-6 otherwise. Fabrice Ndja was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 16 points and nine boards.

Pine Bush now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Monroe-Woodbury, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Pine Bush wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 69-45 loss against Burke Catholic on the 13th. As for Monroe-Woodbury, they have also already played their next contest, a 51-48 defeat against Valley Central on the 14th.
