Softball Game Preview: Mt. Hebron Vikings vs. Long Reach Lightning

The Mt. Hebron Vikings are taking a road trip to challenge the Long Reach Lightning at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Mt. Hebron is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.

Mt. Hebron took a 14-run loss the last time they faced off against Reservoir, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Mt. Hebron sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 11-10 victory over Reservoir on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Vikings have posted against the 'Gators since March 25, 2019.

Meanwhile, Long Reach made easy work of Centennial on Friday and carried off a 7-1 victory.

Long Reach's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Mt. Hebron, their record is now 3-0.

Mt. Hebron might still be hurting after the 8-0 defeat they got from Long Reach in their previous meeting back in April of 2023. Can Mt. Hebron avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
