Bergen Charter suffers third straight loss at home

Bergen Charter's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 71-49 loss at the hands of New Milford. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Bergen Charter has suffered yet this season.

New Milford was led to victory by Wilbert Beras and Luis Placido. Beras scored 15 points, while Placido dropped a double-double on 20 points and 14 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Beras scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dariel Liranzo, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and four steals.

Bergen Charter's defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 7-3. As for New Milford, their win bumped their record up to 11-3.

Bergen Charter will head out on the road to square off against Passaic Arts & Science Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Jersey (Passaic Arts & Science Charter is ranked 251st, while Bergen Charter is ranked 228th). As for New Milford, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Leonia at 5:45 p.m. Leonia is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
