It was a good run, but Springfield unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 42-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Upper Darby Royals. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Cougars came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 93rd, while the Royals are ranked 407th).

Springfield's defeat dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Upper Darby, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-10.

Springfield has already played their next matchup (against Lower Merion), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Upper Darby wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 43-35 win against Harriton on the 21st.
