Baseball Recap: Hamilton Titans  vs. Macomb Bombers        
        
		
            
 Hamilton was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight  defeat. They fell just short of the Macomb Bombers by a score of  7-6. That's two games in a row now that Hamilton has lost by  just one  run.
  Gage Scott made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  went 2-for-3 with two  stolen bases, three  RBI,  and two  doubles.
 On Macomb's side,  Drew Watson made a splash no matter where he played. He  struck out seven batters over  3.2 innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   four  hits. Watson has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive pitching appearances. Watson was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while going 1-for-4.
 In other batting news,  Nick Elbe was  excellent,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 2-for-4.  David Simmons was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs while  getting on base  in two of his four plate appearances.
 Hamilton's loss  ended  a  three-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 7-11. As for Macomb, their victory bumped their record up to 9-14.
 Hamilton will head out on the road to  face off against  Quincy Notre Dame at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. As for Macomb, they will look to defend their home field  on Saturday against Brimfield at 10:00  a.m. Brimfield is coming into the  game with six straight  wins on the road,  so Macomb will have to stop a  squad with plenty of momentum.
