Soccer Game Preview: Cibola vs. Valley Vista

The Cibola Raiders will head out to challenge the Valley Vista Monsoon at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Cibola's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past San Luis 5-0. Considering the Raiders have won seven contests by more than three goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Valley Vista, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They had just enough and edged Apollo out 1-0. The Monsoon's winning goal came courtesy of Yazmin Resendiz Martinez.

Cibola is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5-1 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four games. As for Valley Vista, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-8-2 record.
