Volleyball Recap: Manitou Springs Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Manitou Springs had lost five straight at home, but on Monday they dropped down to 4-8 to make it six. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of The Classical Academy Titans. Mustangs fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Titans since Monday.

Leah Aldridge paced Manitou Springs' offense, picking up six kills. Aldridge got some help from Natalie Gore and her 12 assists. Aleia McBride controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

As for The Classical Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-1. The game was the first time they have beaten Manitou Springs on their court since September 21, 2017.

Leading The Classical Academy to victory were Maggie Johnson and Addy Macha. Johnson had 23 assists, while Macha had 11 digs and three assists. Those 11 digs gave Macha a new career-high.

Coming up, Manitou Springs will venture away from home to square off against Atlas Preparatory School at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for The Classical Academy, they will square off against Sierra at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup will give the Titans their first taste of in-conference action this season.
