Dover had lost three games at home, but after bumping their record up to 12-6 on Tuesday that streak is in the rearview. They had just enough and edged out the Exeter Blue Hawks 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Green Wave have posted since May 1st.

As for Exeter, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-6. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only 1.5 runs.

For Exeter's part, Nolan Engler was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. Engler has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Mike Caron made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
