Baseball Recap: Bowie Has No Trouble Against Flowers

While Bowie put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Flowers. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over the Jaguars. Considering the Bulldogs have won nine matchups by more than eight runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Jack Young was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Young was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with three RBI and one stolen base.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jayden Ryland, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs, two triples, and one RBI. Those two triples gave him a new career-high. Taylor Brown was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs.

Bowie's record now sits at 11-1. As for Flowers, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-7.

Bowie has already played their next contest, a 21-1 victory against Wise on the 23rd. Flowers has also already played their next game (against Suitland), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
