Baseball Game Preview: Fox Valley Lutheran Foxes vs. Winnebago Lutheran Academy Vikings

The Fox Valley Lutheran Foxes will take on the Winnebago Lutheran Academy Vikings at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Fox Valley Lutheran's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 4-0 win over Freedom. That four run margin sets a new team best for the Foxes this season.

Not much got past Jack Schlueter, who gave up just a hit and racked up ten Ks to keep Freedom off the board.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Luke Heimerl, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Conor Tetting, who went 1-for-4 with one triple and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Winnebago Lutheran Academy got the win against Omro on Tuesday by a conclusive 9-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Vikings have posted against the Foxes since May 8, 2017.

Fox Valley Lutheran moved to 3-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Winnebago Lutheran Academy, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
