Basketball Recap: Lake Clifton Comes Up Short

Lake Clifton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against the Poly Engineers, falling 80-5. The game marked the Lakers' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Lake Clifton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Poly, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-4.

Lake Clifton and Poly's offenses will be put to the test in their next games. Lake Clifton and Dunbar (who has only given up 26.11 points per game) will meet at 3:45 p.m. on January 9th. Meanwhile, Poly will face off against Edmondson-Westside at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, a squad that's only allowed 17 points per game.
