For the second straight game, Fremont will face off against Layton. The Silverwolves will welcome the Lancers at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Fremont is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.9 runs per game this season.

Fremont is headed into the contest having just posted their closest victory since May 16, 2024 on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Layton, sneaking past 2-1. The win continues a trend for the Silverwolves in their matchups with the Lancers: they've now won three in a row.

Tad Grange spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Fremont saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cole Sanders, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Layton's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-13. As for Fremont, their victory bumped their record up to 18-6.
