Baseball Recap: Northern Nash's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

Northern Nash had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the First Flight Nighthawks on Tuesday.

Dominick Robbins was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched six innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Andrew Taylor, who went 4-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Tristan Murray, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs.

Northern Nash kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Northern Nash's victory bumped their record up to 8-10. As for First Flight, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northern Nash will head out to face off against Southern Nash at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for First Flight, they will face off against Currituck County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
