Football Game Recap: Red Boiling Springs vs. RePublic

RePublic simply couldn't be stopped on Friday, as they easily beat Red Boiling Springs 61-19. RePublic were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.

RePublic got off to a slow start in their match last week, but they had no such trouble against Red Boiling Springs as they cruised to a 40-point first half. Red Boiling Springs wasn't quite able to keep up, scoring 13 to make it 40-13 heading into the break. RePublic put the game away in the third quarter with 15 points from the offense and zero points allowed from the defense. The win bumped their record up to 4-5. Red Boiling Springs are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-7.

Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Next week RePublic take on Monterey at 7:00 PM. Red Boiling Springs will be playing at home against Jo Byrns at at 7:00 PM. Given that they both suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
