Wayne won the last time they faced Monticello and things went their way on Saturday too. The Badgers simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Buckaroo 56-15. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Badgers had established a 40-point advantage.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wayne to victory, but perhaps none more so than Timber Wood, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and nine steals. Those nine steals gave Wood a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Madi Jacobson, who posted ten points and three steals.

Wayne smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 11 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Wayne's record is now 2-0.

Wayne will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Grand County at 7:00 p.m. on the 2nd. The Badgers are facing the Red Devils at the right time seeing as the Red Devils are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Monticello, they have already played their next matchup, a 69-16 loss against Tabiona on the 25th.
