Basketball Game Preview: Stansbury Stallions vs. Snow Canyon Warriors

Having just played yesterday, the Stansbury Stallions will head out on the road to face off against the Snow Canyon Warriors at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Friday, Stansbury came up short against Provo and fell 66-54. While losing is never fun, the Stallions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 95th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 31st).

Meanwhile, Snow Canyon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 57-40 to Desert Hills. The matchup marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Stansbury will have to contain Gil Lamoreaux as he made an impact in Snow Canyon's last game. He went 6 of 10 on his way to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Niels Larsen, who posted six points and five rebounds.

Stansbury has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.8 points per game. As for Snow Canyon, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11.
