Basketball Recap: Paul Foster's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Bentley over Brave Christian

Bentley easily dispatched Drew on Thursday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Phoenix fell just short of the Brave Christian Lions by a score of 56-53 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Phoenix have suffered since November 16, 2024.

Bentley's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Paul Foster, who shot 50% from the field en route to 20 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. Foster is crushing it when it comes to points: he's scored at least 18 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Indio Rai, who went 6-for-11 on his way to 14 points and seven boards.

Having lost for the first time this season, Bentley fell to 3-1. As for Brave Christian, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Bentley has already played their next matchup, an 84-31 victory against Making Waves Academy on the 9th. As for Brave Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 106-19 win against Fremont Christian on the 9th.
