Soccer Game Preview: Peoria Christian vs. Limestone

The Peoria Christian Chargers will head out on the road to take on the Limestone Rockets at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Peoria Christian will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Bloomington on Wednesday. The Chargers put the hurt on the Purple Raiders with a sharp 4-1 victory. It was an even better day for KhloeAnn Oswald as she scored three goals for her team.

Meanwhile, Limestone's game on Thursday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They never let Galesburg get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. The victory continues a trend for Limestone in their matchups with Galesburg: they've now won four in a row.

Limestone's record is now 12-4. As for Peoria Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Peoria Christian might still be hurting after the 7-0 loss they got from Limestone when the teams last played back in April of 2023. Can the Chargers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
