Football Recap: Morristown-Hamblen East Takes a Loss

Morristown-Hamblen East's game on Friday was all tied up 7-7 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 20-13 to the David Crockett Pioneers. If the Hurricanes were looking for revenge after losing 42-30 to the Pioneers when the teams met back in October of 2020, then they'll just have to keep looking.

David Crockett can attribute much of their success to Sam Casey, who rushed for 93 yards and one score. Those 93 rushing yards gave Casey a new career-high.

Morristown-Hamblen East dropped their record down to 1-2 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for David Crockett, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Morristown-Hamblen East will challenge Gibbs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for David Crockett, they will face off against Morristown-Hamblen West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Pioneers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
