Basketball Recap: Palmetto Panthers vs. Miami Country Day Spartans
Palmetto lost against Miami Country Day back in December of 2014 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Palmetto Panthers fell to the Miami Country Day Spartans 66-62. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 117th, while the Spartans are ranked 34th).

When it comes to explaining why Palmetto lost, don't look at Santiago Henriquez. Despite the final result, he went 8 for 17 on his way to 23 points and four steals. Henriquez's evening made it 25 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Samfree Sarante was another key player, going 6 of 11 en route to 15 points and five rebounds.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Miami Country Day to victory, but perhaps none more so than Fernando Romero, who went 9 for 16 on his way to 22 points. Another player making a difference was Daltyn Simon, who posted 14 points and six boards.
Palmetto has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-10 record this season. As for Miami Country Day, their record now sits at 17-6.
