Softball Recap: Rice Lake Drops Highest Score of Season Against Osceola

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Rice Lake had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Osceola Chieftains with a sharp 16-0 win. The Warriors' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Ava Anderson was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Dakota Thompson was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Rice Lake always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .680. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Rice Lake has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-11 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Osceola, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-17.
