Basketball Recap: Midway Takes a Loss

Midway has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They had to suffer through a 74-34 loss at the hands of the West Bladen Knights. The Raiders were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-16.

Several Raiders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Wyatt Herring, who posted seven points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kemari McNeil, who put up seven points.

West Bladen's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Hezekiah Adams, who had 19 points. Chase Williams was another key player, putting up 17 points.

Midway's defeat dropped their record down to 13-5. As for West Bladen, the win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 20-1.

Midway has already played their next matchup, a 56-46 victory against Red Springs on the 11th. As for West Bladen, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 47-31 win against Fairmont on the 11th.
