Softball Recap: Valley Head Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Valley Head duked it out with Collinsville on Saturday. The Tigers fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 12-10. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Tigers have suffered since March 21st.

Olivia Harrison was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Woods, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Valley Head has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-18-2 record this season. As for Collinsville, they now have a winning record of 11-10-1.

Looking ahead, Valley Head will head out to square off against Anniston at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Collinsville, they will square off against Fyffe at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
