Baseball Recap: Minico Comes Up Short

If Minico was feeling good fresh off their 9-0 takedown of Kimberly last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Minico Spartans fell 6-3 to the Ridgevue Warhawks on Thursday. The Spartans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warhawks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Parker Johnson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3. That run marked the first that he scored this season. Cody Carlson was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Minico's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Ridgevue, they now have a winning record of 2-1-1.

Coming up, Minico will take on Borah in a tournament on Friday. As for Ridgevue, they will take on Lewiston at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
