Mathews is a perfect 9-0 against Charles City since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Blue Devils will venture away from home to face off against the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. Mathews knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Charles City likes a good challenge.

On Friday, Mathews got the win against Northampton by a conclusive 15-1. The win continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their matchups with the Yellowjackets: they've now won five in a row.

Meanwhile, Charles City hadn't done well against West Point recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Panthers came out on top against the Pointers by a score of 8-3.

Mathews' record now sits at 11-9. As for Charles City, their record is now 11-5.

Mathews got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in April against Charles City by a conclusive 14-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Devils since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
