Softball Recap: Strawberry Crest Takes a Loss

Strawberry Crest lost against Wharton back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Strawberry Crest fell 5-1 to Wharton. That's two games in a row now that the Chargers have lost by exactly four runs.

Strawberry Crest saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lola Coole, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Strawberry Crest and nudges their season record down to 4-8. As for Wharton, they pushed their record up to 7-7 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Strawberry Crest will head out to square off against Bloomingdale at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bloomingdale will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Strawberry Crest surely won't give up without a fight. As for Wharton, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Wharton Wildcats face off against Durant Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Their pitchers better be ready for this one: Durant has averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season.
