Basketball Recap: Okaw Valley Comes Up Short

Okaw Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss. They were beaten by the Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond Knights 60-22. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 63-11 back in January.

Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond found their leader in sophomore Sophie Monts, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and ten rebounds. Monts is becoming a predictor of Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond's success: when she posts at least ten boards the team is undefeated (and 9-15 when she doesn't). Anna Rawlins was another key player, putting up nine points and three steals.

Okaw Valley's record now sits at 1-26. As for Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond, their win bumped their record up to 13-15.

Okaw Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond, they will welcome Pana at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
