Basketball Recap: Caldwell Takes a Loss

Caldwell was the 49-41 winner over Giddings when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Caldwell Hornets took a 55-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Giddings Buffaloes on Friday. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Caldwell's record is now 11-14. As for Giddings, the win snapped their losing streak at 11 games and leaves them with a 3-12 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Caldwell has already played their next game (against Bellville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Giddings is taking a road trip to square off against Navasota at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Giddings has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
