Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Flintridge Sacred Heart). They blew past the Marymount Sailors 25-3 on Thursday. The victory was nothing new for the Tologs as they're now sitting on seven straight.

Juliette Smith made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched two innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (five). She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs and three RBI.

In other batting news, Flintridge Sacred Heart got a massive performance out of Gianna Candelora, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with one home run, five runs, and six RBI. Those five runs gave Candelora a new career-high. Ena Ramsey was another key player, going a perfect 5-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple.

Flintridge Sacred Heart was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .625. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .321 or higher in 11 consecutive games.

Flintridge Sacred Heart's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-3-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.3 runs over those games. As for Marymount, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Flintridge Sacred Heart will face off against rival Bishop Alemany at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Tologs 3.1, the Warriors 4) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Marymount is set to challenge their familiar foe Immaculate Heart at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
