West Oaks Academy had won nine straight home games dating back to last season and Willie Burnett III did his part to make it ten on Saturday. The West Oaks Academy Flame came out on top against the Minnesota Preparation Academy, TRIP Diplomat Lions by a score of 85-77 thanks in part to Burnett III, who posted 31 points. His afternoon made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Arlindo Bernardo, who earned seven points and seven rebounds. Those seven rebounds gave him a new career-high.

West Oaks Academy's win bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Minnesota Preparation Academy, TRIP, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

West Oaks Academy will venture away from home to face off against Central Pointe Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Minnesota Preparation Academy, TRIP, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, an 80-54 defeat against Academy of Central Florida National on the 15th.
