Baseball Recap: Twentynine Palms' Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

Twentynine Palms easily dispatched Desert Christian Academy last Tuesday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Twentynine Palms Wildcats fell just short of the Rubidoux Falcons by a score of 6-4 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Wildcats have suffered since March 26, 2024.

Twentynine Palms saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jandell Jiminez, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI and one double. That double marked the first that Jiminez hit this season.

With the defeat, Twentynine Palms broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Rubidoux, their victory ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-5.

Twentynine Palms has already played their next game, an 11-9 win against Big Bear on the 7th. Rubidoux has also already played their next contest (against San Jacinto), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
